Personal statement: Applicants must submit an essay describing his/her goals in the field of acting and why he/she wishes to study at the institute. (Between 125 and 250 words. Two Year Conservatory applicants must write 750-1000 words)
Applicants must submit a typed resume/CV of any prior training and/or experience. If you do not have any prior training or experience in acting, please include previous employment and education history, regardless of field. Experience is not mandatory for application. PDF file
Reference letters may be from a previous/current employer, co-workers, artistic professionals, teachers or academic advisors. One can be a personal reference (not family members or significant others), but at least one must be professional. Both letters must be typed in English, signed, dated, and contain contact information. Professional letters must be issued on letterhead. Alternatively- reference letters can be emailed as per these instructions. The email must include the applicants name in the subject line of the email (i.e. Reference for ___ ____) and contain complete contact info of the referrer. They must email their reference directly to: letter@strasberg.edu
The minimum educational requirement for ALL programs (1 Year, 2 Year, 12 Weeks, Intensives) is high school (secondary school) completion. Submit EITHER a high school transcript/copy of high school diploma OR college/university transcripts. All submitted documentation must be in English or accompanied by an official, notarized English translation if issued in another language.
You may submit additional documentation such as certificates of training but these alone are not sufficient on their own to satsify the minimum requirement of high school/secondary school completion.
