06 May LSTFI Alumna Kim Dickens Currently Stars in AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead This Spring
Fear The Walking Dead, the companion series to AMC’s titanic show The Walking Dead, another smash hit for AMC, currently in its second season, and already picked up for a third season, stars beloved LSTFI alumna Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, HBO’s Treme, Thank You For Smoking). In its first season Fear The Walking Dead smashed records (highest-rated first season in cable history) and is only second on cable behind The Walking Dead, its partner in crime. Fear The Walking Dead is a prequel to The Walking Dead, exploring the downfall and destruction of Los Angeles as a zombie apocalypse begins to unfold. Kim Dickens stars as Madison Clark, a high school guidance counselor, and a mother and leader of her family as they deal with the impending collapse of civilization.

Rob Reiner’s newest film Being Charlie, which has a limited release opening today in select cities, follows the story of Charlie Mills, a just turned 18-year-old in and out of rehab treatment centers dealing with his substance abuse issues and figuring out his life. LSTFI alum Cary Elwes has had a long professional relationship with Rob Reiner first working with Reiner in his cult classic The Princess Bride as Westley, the farmhand turned damsel rescuer; in Being Charlie he stars as Charlie’s father, a former film star currently running for Governor of California, while also trying to help his son with his substance abuse issues outside the eyes of the media.
